Klonopin Side Effects
First and foremost, what is Klonopin?
Klonopin, or its generic drug name Clonazepam, forms part of a group of drugs named benzodiazepines.
It affects chemicals in the brain that may become unbalanced and cause you to have anxiety. Clonazepam can be used to treat problems other than anxiety but its main use is in treating seizure disorders (epilepy) and panic/anxiety disorders, which is what we’ll be focusing on here.
Who should NOT take Klonopin?
You should avoid taking this medication if you have glaucoma (eye/blindness disorder), asthma, emphysema (smokers of any class should do a check on this before taking this medication), bronchitis, chronic obstructive pulmonary disorder, a history of depression or depressive/suicidal thoughts, a history of drugs or alcohol addiction, severe liver disease such as jaundice, hepatitis, Reye syndrome or even Wilson’s disease, or if you are allergic to Clonazepam or other benzodiazepines such as alprazolam, chlordiazepoxide, clorazepate, diazepam, lorazepam or oxazepam.
The use of Clonazepam may cause harm to an unborn baby so avoid in all circumstances taking this whilst pregnant to reduce the chances of having side effects of Klonopin. Always consult your GP first, I cannot stress this point enough.
Never drink alcohol while taking Klonopin or any related drugs. This medication can increase the effects of alcohol. This may be the main reason to take it for some, but trust me, your liver will definitely not appreciate it, and neither will you in the long run! Taking Clonazepam can become a habit so make sure you only take what’s prescribed to avoid all possible secondary effects.
It is important you get medical help if you experience any of the below listed klonopin side effects. If you are to abuse the recommended intake of this drug you will increase your chances of this happening. If you believe Klonopin is having no effect on your body, return to the doctor that prescribed the drug to you and consult with him first, do not self medicate!

The list is long so if you’re thinking of taking this for recreational use, I’d go over this list a few times before thinking of doing so. Clonazepam is strictly prescribed for short term relief of anxiety and certain types of seizures.
Preparations include tablets of 0.5mg, 1mg and 2mg for more resistant bodies. It is available also in disintegrating tablets of 0.125mg, 0.25mg, 0.5mg, 1mg and 2mg if you prefer to take it dissolved. The tablets should be kept at room temperature between 59F and 86F or 15C and 30C. I have prepared a variety of Images of what these tablets look like so you can get a better idea.
For those of you who have already taken Clonazepam for a while and are struggling to come off it, I’ve gathered a list of Rehabilitation Centers located in the US which offer a hotline for you to call anonymously and get assistance with any drug related issues. Some of them will let you form part of a programme and group you with people experiencing similar issues as yours!
If you’re afraid you haven’t received enough information from this website regarding klonopin side effects and think you might benefit from reading the more technical and detailed Wikipedia please do have a look as they most probably contain any questions you have answered, it will be listed under the term clonazepam side effects and you can also find images of what Clonazepam pills look like and other targeted issues you may encounter whilst under the influence of this medication.
Prividing none of these klonopin-related solutions work for you, or you were simply looking for a shortcut to rid of your anxiety problems, I have taken the time to list some other approaches you can take advantage of. Living in a society where we share information every day, we allow us to become further educated by the day, if it is in our own will to do so. On the left hand menu and throughout the site you will find links to other solutions such as neuro linguistic programming, self hypnosis, and other medications that are not clonazepam related.
The advantage of trying out the non medical solutions such as NLP and Hypnosis are you wont be experiencing klonopin side effects, or any other drug for that matter. It’s a progressive way to teach your mind and body to communicate with itself and let it know who’s running the show, nobody wants to be controlled by ones own thoughts and emotions. The first set of mini courses I’m putting up are NLP related and will give you a brief history of what it is, how it came to be and some simple exercises you, whatever age you may be, can start following straight away.
Don’t be afraid to let go of the meds, they’re not always the best solution, some people will find it easier, some will find it harder but in the end what matters is that you can go ahead and fix whatever problems you’re having in the most natural and healthy way, remember klonopin and its side effects can cause you more harm than the effects of anxiety so take a moment to think about other safer solutions.
Self hypnosis is similar but some people may find it a bit slower and more difficult for it to be successful since it depends a lot on whether you’re skeptical or not on the matter. Neuro-linguistic programming on the other hand happens all in the subconscious mind and you never know what’s happening!
That’s one of the main reasons I got involved in it so fast, because it works, and it works fast! Keep checking the page for more updates, I’ll be uploading loads more information as the days go by, I’ve been a bit busy lately with uni projects / assignments but keep checking the mini NLP course will be up soon! Keep in touch, any questions you can contact me on my feedback page!
